With her brother and father no longer in the picture, you might expect Prilliskevle to live a quiet life.

But when magic returns, so does the Owl Mask.  It might not be so personal for Charlotte this time, but she had a point, right?  A society built on magic is a society built on sacrifice.  And besides, the young, charismatic revolutionary is an aesthetic she can get behind.

She had always seen herself in Demonica: she was the idealistic young person Prilliskevle had been before Lilsahr had inflicted enough on her to create Charlotte. They even looked similar. That had fuelled resentment in the Old Sanctuary, but when Charlotte finds out about the cost behind the Free Magic, the resentment evaporates, and it only strengthens her resolve - the reason behind the new found resolve is soon forgotten, of course, but the strength of the feeling remains and grows. 

So she makes sure the new Sanctuary has a Custodian problem, which thanks to Min Min's return and Rennyn's addition soon becomes a problem for not just the new Sanctuary...
